When I even start to feel a little bit under the weather, or I feel a scratch in the back of my throat, or some type of allergy or some nausea coming on, I bust out my water kettle, half a lemon, some raw honey and this powerful home remedy, GINGER ROOT!
Ginger root has been shown time and time again for its medicinal properties. It is known mostly to be anti-inflammatory and can improve your digestion, help treat stomach ulcers, ease menstrual pains, and can even help to treat nausea.
“Research shows that ginger contains many valuable compounds like gingerol, shogaol, paradol, and zingerone. Ginger has also been found to be effective in fighting against pathogenic strains of viruses, fungi, and bacteria that contribute to disease.”
For those that suffer from high blood sugar levels or diabetes, it may be a struggle to keep your blood sugar levels in line and balanced. If gone untreated it can cause you to take constant trips to the bathroom, headaches or even migraines. If gone untreated for the long term it could even cause nerve damage. A good way to control your blood sugar levels is to consume a ginger tea daily. This tea is easy to make and always helps me feel calm and relaxed.
Ginger root contains many antioxidant properties and can calm inflammation in the body. For this reason, consuming ginger regularly can be beneficial for your brain, and can relieve muscle and arthritis pain in your joints.
