Our products are getting a fresh new look highlighting tradition, quality, and flavor. Look for them online and on shelves soon.
Our old packaging did a decent job of distinguishing our products, but it didn't represent our traditional Japanese roots as strongly as we would have liked. We also worried that the powder on the front would be less approachable for those new to matcha who might not know what to do with that.
Ujido was born in Kyoto out of nearly 200 years of growing and selling matcha in Uji. We are steeped in tea tradition with deep roots in Japan.
It's what you have come to know us for. We source from central Japan, the premier area for quality matcha. We never use tea from any other country.
Our matcha uses mainly first and second harvests, grown under shade for the sweetest, mildest, and best tasting matcha available anywhere.
