Matcha is the perfect antidote for overindulgence. It is rich in antioxidants that protect cells from free radical damage, detoxifying chlorophyll, and mental enhancing L-Theanine. This combination helps stave off hangovers or prevent them entirely, depending on when you get your matcha.
Next party, late night out with friends, New Year bash, or social mixer that you attend, make sure you drink plenty of water, and maybe add in a matcha. This recipe brings the hydration power of coconut water. You can enhance this with some stomach settling seltzer too. We recommend our Ceremonial Blend for the higher L-Theanine and antioxidant content or a packet of our Matcha Energy for the extra B and C vitamins. Our Black Ginger Matcha tablets are another way to stave off the pain if you don't want to mix up a drink.
1 teaspoon matcha
2 cups coconut water
2 tablespoons hot water
Optional: Splash of seltzer water, sweetener of choice, mint or lemon garnish
Whisk matcha and any sweetener into hot water. Combine with coconut water and seltzer if used. Pour over ice. Garnish as desired. Enjoy.
